BOOKS Reading Rewards
Halfway There Party

In order to recognize and encourage those children already halfway through the Reading Rewards program this year, BOOKS held its first ever Halfway There Party on Saturday January 27th, 2007 at The Arena Club in the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. Forty-three children and their entire families enjoyed dinner, festivities and a hockey game.

Each child received a special BOOKS T-Shirt honoring their achievement. This child stops at the registration table.
David Black, magician and B-Sens mascot, Max provided entertainment during the party. A delicious Barbeque Buffet dinner was enjoyed by all.
Senator Libous drew the name of Aaron Williams as the winner of the 'Family Fun Package' gift basket. Each child got a souvenir hockey stick presented to them by Senator Libous himself.
Everyone enjoyed the hockey game. After the game children got to meet and have their pictures taken with B-Sens players.
