About
the Book:
Michael
Jordan.
The mere mention of the name conjures up visions of basketball
played at its absolute best.
But as a child, Michael almost gave up on his hoop dreams, all
because he feared he’d never grow tall enough to play the game that
would one day make him famous.
Deloris Jordan, mother of the basketball phenomenon, Michael
Jordan, teams up with his sister Roslyn to tell this to tell this
heartwarming and inspirational story that only the members of the Jordan
family could tell.
It’s a story about faith and hope and how any family working
together can help a child make this or her dreams come true.

About
the Star:
Stuart Naismith was born in 1927
and raised in the West. Stuart’s
grandfather was James Naismith, who invented the game of basketball in
December 1890. When Stuart
was growing up he listened to his grandfather tell stories and he paid
attention when his grandfather told him to work hard at whatever he did.
And his grandfather taught him to be honest and kind. “Whenever
you have a choice in life, do the kind thing, and that will always be
the right thing”, his grandfather told him. Stuart worked at many things; he worked with his hands and
his mind and his heart, just like he was taught.
